Biography
Writing started out as an outlet for my frustrations on having to grow up in a strict conservative Catholic household.
Writing was always a very private pursuit. You couldn’t very well the guys at the playground that you wrote poetry and short stories. Your manhood would have been severely questioned
Gradually it became more serious after having several pieces published in the high school literary magazine.
In college I declared myself an English Major with an emphasis on Creative Writing, but I soon changed to History because the English department had, what I considered to be, onerous requirements.
After college, I took writing seriously and submitted numerous poems and short stories – which were universally rejected.
After several years of futility, I went back to school and got a certificate in Copywriting and was then employed as a copywriter, in one form or another, for the next thirty years.
In 2016, I sold my business and turned to writing full-time: novels, screenplays, sit-coms and song lyrics – all came pouring out and that level of productivity continues to this day. I hope it never stops.
